Joshua Burgin

Joshua Burgin is the founder of the Alliance for Global Security, and has spent six years serving as the NSL Programs Director at the Warsaw Security Forum. For nearly three decades, Burgin has operated at the nexus of domestic U.S. politics and international affairs.

As a political veteran, Burgin has managed numerous campaigns in Florida and Massachusetts, run for office, served at multiple levels in state and local government positions, and as a gubernatorial appointee to the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Agency Board of Directors.

In the early 2000s, Burgin was the Resident Country Director for the International Republican Institute (IRI) in Kazakhstan. There he managed a national presidential election exit poll and observed elections in Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and Georgia. In 2023, Burgin again worked with IRI, training political party leaders from across the spectrum in Poland. Nearly half of the candidates he worked with were elected to the Polish Parliament or local level offices. In addition to his work at IRI, Burgin taught a course on U.S. Political History at Wrocław University.

Burgin holds a Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and was a recipient of the Lucius Littauer Award for Academic Excellence and Community Impact.
