The Alliance for Global Security is built on a simple truth: Local leaders are at the heart of keeping our communities safe today, and they are the national leaders who will impact the global landscape of tomorrow.

For many years, defense and security were problems solved in national capitals. But today when our adversaries—countries like Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran — attack local governments, steal research from academic institutions, or hack our critical infrastructure, all from the other side of the world, every city and small town is a target.

Our local and state leaders are often unfamiliar with the threats, mitigation measures, and how to respond when those efforts fall short.

Despite local communities and their leadership being left out of federal- and international-level conversations, when our local and state leaders enter the national stage themselves, they are presumed to understand what was largely inaccessible to them during their previous years of public service.

Alliance for Global Security bridges the knowledge and transatlantic relationship gap to equip the next generation of national leaders and to prepare our local and state leaders for the global challenges at their doorstep today.

We give leaders at all levels the insights necessary to have a voice in national solutions, access to the national and international relationships that will strengthen their communities and countries for years to come.
