Born From a New Kind of War
For generations, national security was a matter for Washington, Brussels, or London. But in today’s world, adversaries strike straight at our communities—from behind keyboards and beneath the radar. National security is no longer the sole domain of national capitals. China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea are waging a shadow war on our infrastructure, projecting power into towns and cities far beyond their borders—hacking our systems, stealing our data and intellectual property, and manipulating our citizens through social media apps.

Too often local and state leaders are left out of defense and security deliberations. As a result they are not addressing critical questions of what will happen to their communities in the event of an “everything, everywhere, all at once” attack from our adversaries. They are not setting policy to address critical questions. Which systems stay online? Which gets unplugged? Can we function without the internet? Do we have offline backups? Manual procedures? The Alliance for Global Security was built to change that.

We give rising leaders the insights, understanding, and international access to defend and protect their communities.
